Sonja Morgan has spent the years since her 2006 separation from John Morgan lamenting the loss of her marriage. While the details of their breakup remain shrouded in mystery, with Morgan telling one story and tabloids telling another, the details of her divorce settlement are clear.

According to court documents, the Morgans had a postnuptial agreement during their marriage. According to the papers, Sonja Morgan was to receive a $3 million settlement in the divorce and her stake in several businesses. In addition, John Morgan agreed to pay her $12,500 per month in child support for the only child they shared. He was also legally obligated to pay her $15,000 in alimony each month. The child support was to continue until their daughter, Quincy Adams Morgan, obtained full-time employment or reached 25, whichever came first. Quincy, now 23, is employed.

How much did Sonja Morgan sell her townhouse for?

Sonja Morgan clearly has strong feelings about letting go of her East 63rd Street home. It took her more than a decade to part with it. According to Page Six, the 4,000-square-foot house was put on the market multiple times over the years. Morgan first listed the Upper East Side property for over $9 million in 2013. She eventually dropped the price to around $7 million before pulling the property off the market. Ultimately, she reportedly let the home go for just over $4 million at auction. Morgan claims she was ready to rid herself of the house after many years of listing it for sale or renting it out.
