Shot fired in restaurant during Alameda robbery


ALAMEDA — A man was shot Tuesday evening during a robbery at a restaurant, police said.

The violence happened around 6:30 p.m. at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Park Street. Police did not specify the restaurant.

Police said a man and woman entered the restaurant and got into an argument with a man inside who police said was a customer.

Alameda police are looking for this woman who they said was involved in the robbery of a customer inside a restaurant. 

During the confrontation, the man who had entered the restaurant pulled a gun and demanded the customer’s property, police said. The customer briefly struggled with the suspect for the gun before the suspect shot at him but missed, police said.

The man and woman then fled the restaurant with the victim’s belongings, police said. Police did not say what the items were.

the hope they can be identified.

They asked anyone who may have seen the suspects before the robbery or who has information about who they are to call the department’s Violence Crime Unit at 510-337-8336.
