District seeks oversight

The Saratoga Union School District is seeking applicants to serve on the Measure B Oversight Committee for the 2020-21 school year.

One of the district’s commitments is to maintain accountability and transparency with all expenditures of Measure B dollars. A key component of that commitment is maintaining an independent oversight committee that annually reviews the district’s compliance with the terms of Measure B. The committee is designed to include parents and guardians as well as Saratoga community members.

Applications are available at, by emailing or at the superintendent’s office at 20460 Forrest Hills Drive, Saratoga. Applications are due by Nov. 2 and will be reviewed by the district’s board of trustees no later than Nov. 12.

COVID-19 testing

Santa Clara County will continue providing appointment-based COVID-19 testing on a consistently scheduled, rotating basis into October in cities including Saratoga.

Testing will be conducted Oct. 29, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Saratoga Friendship Hall, 19841 Prospect Road. Testing free and no health insurance or doctor’s note is required, but appointments are necessary and can be scheduled at Appointments will be open for scheduling seven days before the testing date. Once all appointments are filled, the location will no longer appear for scheduling on the website.
