Pedestrian hit, injured by vehicle in South San Jose

SAN JOSE – A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle in South San Jose on Tuesday night, police said.

The collision was reported about 7:10 p.m. near Senter Road and Monterey Highway.

The pedestrian’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, the San Jose Police Department said in a tweet.

No other information about the crash was immediately available.

The westbound direction of Senter Road was closed from Seven Trees Boulevard to Monterey Highway for an investigation.

Units are currently at the scene of a traffic collision involving a vehicle vs pedestrian near Senter Rd and Monterey Hwy. Injuries to the pedestrian are currently non-life threatening.
