PACIFICA – A person’s body was found floating in the water near Pedro Point in Pacifica on Thursday, police said.
Pacifica Police Department officers and North County Fire Authority firefighters were called to the west end of the point about 8:45 a.m., the police department said in a news release. An “unidentified female subject” was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the person was clothed and “appeared to have been in the water for some time.”
The police department’s Investigative Services Division and the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death.
