Outside Lands Day One: Festival gets party started in SF’s Golden Gate Park


The 11th annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival has kicked off Aug. 10 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, drawing thousands of fans and offering up a lineup featuring The Weeknd, N.E.R.D., Carly Rae Jepsen and dozens of other acts.

An early highlight was country gem Margo Price delivering a terrific cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s blistering “Fortunate Son.”

It was part of a great set by the talented singer.

The festival continues through Aug. 12, with Janet Jackson, Florence and the Machine, Janelle Monae, Future and Salt-N-Pepa among the acts set to appear on the multiple stages.
