Is Gwyneth Paltrow’s black-tie engagement party this weekend a front for a wedding?

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk have decided to do some conscious coupling, but will they be making it all official as early as this weekend?

Ryan Murphy, who co-created “Glee” and “American Horror Story” with Falchuk, is throwing the couple an engagement party this weekend, but the “black-tie” part of the invitation has some guessing that Paltrow and Falchuk might surprise guests by heading straight to the alter during the party, according to Page Six.

Giancarlo Giammetti, an Italian businessman known for his association with Valentino, congratulated the couple on Instagram on Friday. Those responding to the post giddily speculated that engagement party was a front for something bigger.

The 400 people on the guest list includes some of Hollywood’s biggest names, according to Page Six.

The publication also said Paltrow is treating this wedding as her first since she eloped with her first husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay.

“I’ve never had a wedding before … So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old,” she said.

Cameron Diaz and Stella McCarthy were among the friends to throw Paltrow a bachelorette party in Mexico this week. Diaz reportedly flew about a dozen friends to Cabo on a private jet.
