Christmas concerts: Here are 3 awesome shows to check out this season


Here are three cool concerts for Bay Area music fans to catch in December:

Celebrate Christmas — Danny Gokey and Natalie Grant are co-headlining K-LOVE’s Celebrate Christmas Tour, which stops Dec. 11 at 3Crosses Church in Castro Valley. The former is an “American Idol” alum who is now known for such hits as “Haven’t Seen It Yet” and “We All Need Jesus.” The latter is a five-time winner of the Dove Award for female vocalist of the year and sings such beautiful numbers as “You Will Be Found” and “King of the World.” Mac Powell is also on the bill. Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets are $31.50-$55, 3crosses.church.

A Drummer Boy Christmas — For King + Country brings A Drummer Boy Christmas: The 2023 Tour Experience to Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Dec. 10. The chart-topping pop duo, consisting of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, will be drawing from its popular 2020 outing — also called “A Drummer Boy Christmas” — featuring such holiday favorites as “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night.” Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets start at $17, golden1center.com.
