Three people were shot and seriously hurt in West Garfield Park Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.
The group was outside in the 600 block of South Independence Boulevard at 7:11 a.m. when two people exited a dark colored sedan and started firing shots, police said in a statement.
A 25-year-old was shot in the chest and was in critical condition, and a 30-year-old man was shot in the body and was in serious condition, police said. Both victims were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. A 28-year-old woman was also shot in the body and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
No one is in custody, police said.
