MAGA Congresswoman Pivots from Epstein to UFO Files, “Working Overtime”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

MAGA-aligned Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets who last year formally demanded that Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice (DOJ) release the full, unredacted Epstein files, is now “working overtime” on the UFO files released by the Pentagon.

[NOTE: After Bondi’s departure from the DOJ in April, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche told Fox News of the Epstein Files: “We have released everything,” while also saying of “the six million pieces of paper” that around 3.5 million have been released. Luna was not among the four GOP representatives who signed Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie’s discharge petition compelling a vote to require the full release of the Epstein files.]

Luna wrote about the UFO files: “We have been working overtime to bring declassification of all materials regarding UAP’s and disclosure yet we have been stonewalled by various bureaucratic agencies every step of the way. This release of the first tranche of documents marks a HUGE step in the right direction and there will be MUCH more to come.”

Last week, before the Pentagon released the UFO files, former President Barack Obama said during an interview with Stephen Colbert: “For those of you who still think we’ve got little green men underground somewhere, one of the things you learn as president is the government is terrible at keeping secrets.”

Releasing the files, the Pentagon wrote: “The materials archived here are unresolved cases, meaning the government is unable to make a definitive determination on the nature of the observed phenomena. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including a lack of sufficient data, and the Department of War welcomes the application of private-sector analysis, information and expertise.”

The press release accompanying the first tranche of declassified materials quoted a social media post from Trump, which read in part: “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).”
