Marjorie Taylor Greene Gets Standing Ovation for Trump Epstein Files Story, “He Said, Stop Doing This”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Former U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) received a standing ovation at the Ron Paul Institute spring conference this weekend in Texas. At the podium, Greene recounted the day when President Trump asked her to remove her name from the discharge petition to push for a complete release of the Epstein Files.

[NOTE: Greene was one of only four Republicans to sign the discharge petition proposed by Thomas Massie (R-KY), joining Reps. Lauren Boebert (CO) and Nancy Mace (SC).]

As seen below, Greene said of President Trump, “He said, ‘Marjorie, you’re gonna have to take your name off of that discharge petition…This is a hoax…it’s a Democrat hoax…we’ve got to just put this away and stop doing this.’ And he said, ‘My friends are going to get hurt.’ He said ‘Marjorie, these are good people. These are people you know at Mar-a-Lago, people in Palm Beach.’”

Greene said she told Trump: “‘Mr. President, people have been hurt. These women have been hurt.’ I said, ‘Have you talked to them?’ I said, ‘You should talk to them. You should have them in the Oval Office, Mr. President. You have everyone in the Oval Office.’”

Greene said she told the President that many of the Epstein survivors voted for him. “Epstein victims voted for Trump, and he wouldn’t have anything to do with them,” she said. When she reminded the audience that she refused to remove her name from the discharge petition, she received a standing ovation.

Greene added of that conversation with Trump, “That’s when MAGA died.” She added, “I don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome, I have Trump Disappointment Syndrome.”

Former Republican and publisher of The Bulwark, Sarah Longwell, responded to Greene’s speech: “‘I don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome, I have Trump Disappointment Syndrome.’ Is kind of a banger line tbh.”
